Final Fantasy VII is the seventh installment in the Final Fantasy series and was released in 1997.



There are nine playable characters:


The game takes place on the Planet, a living entity with Lifestream being its source of life. The power company Shinra is mining Lifestream as a power source, ruining the Planet, and the AVALANCHE sees it as its purpose to stop Shinra's actions.

Used as transportation and also a sidequest involving breeding and racing different chocobo types.

An airship pilot with a smart-alec mouth.

  • Crystals

Exists as Materia, a collection of ancient knowledge crystallized

  • Moogle

Non-existant except in some virtual realm video game.

  • Summons

Summoned through the Red Materia. Past summons such as Shiva, Ramuh and Ifrit are retained.
